Here I go Again

Intricate Leaves dies are once again highlighting Blackberry Beauty Specialty Paper. This card was created for Freshly Made Sketches 504.

I started with two "B" sides of the fabulous Blackberry Beauty Paper. This determined the color scheme for this card.

I started with a 7" by 7" piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock. Score at 3 1/2" to make a slimline card.

Leaves were cut using the Intricate Leaves dies from Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry and Cinnamon Cider cardstock.

I also cut out the branch from the Cork Specialty paper and a leaf from the Be Dazzling paper.

The only stamping was the sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set. It was stamped on Cinnamon Cider using Early Espresso Ink

Fall Hydrangea

I LOVE FALL! Sweaters, football, colored leaves, soups and stews, I love it all! Just don't give me pumpkin spice. For this fall challenge I wanted to do something other than leaves. So for Paper Players 559: A Clean and Simple Challenge from Claire, I took inspiration from some fading hydrangeas.

I started with a standard thick Basic White card base. I cut a thick Basic White stitched rectangle and cut a layer of Rich Razzleberry to make a thin border.

The flower and sentiment were stamped using Early Espresso ink using the Hydrangea Haven Bundle.

I used Stampin Blends to color the Hydrangea. Colors used included Mossy Meadow, Cinnamon Cider, Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Ivory and (retired) Rich Razzleberry.

I love this card and hope you like it too!

Be sure to check out the other entries for this challenge, you'll be amazed at all the talent out there.

Throw Back Thursday

Hello All! Today I am participating in the RetroRubber Challenge 167 Let's Get Sketchy I really love that there is a challenge that lets me pull some old favorites from the shelf. It also helps me use up some beautiful papers that I just can't part with.

Terra Cotta Tile ink and cardstock is perfect for a fall card. I also found some designer series paper to pull in for this card. This paper has a touch of Sahara Sand that I used as the card base.

The Stamp set I used is Colorful Seasons from the 1018-19 Annual Catalog. The leaves and sentiment were stamped using Early Espresso and Terra Cotta Tile.

I also cut some leaves out of the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper using the coordinating Seasonal Layers dies.

A linen thread double bow finishes off the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Go and check out the other cards in this challenge.

Pinkalicious

Hello All! For my card today I combined pink with a bit of sparkle. Here's a bright and cheerful card for a fun challenge from Just Add Ink #571 Inspiration.

Woo, this card was hard to photograph. I kept getting my reflection and the sparkle on the die cuts did not come through.

The reverse side of the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate sets the backdrop for this card. I wanted it to simulate the sunshine of the blue sky on the Inspiration photo.

The base of the flowers and leaves were cut using the Summer Shadow dies from Polished Pink and Just Jade cardstock. The detail layers were cut from In-Color Shimmer Vellum.

The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set and is stamped with Just Jade ink onto Balmy Blue cardstock.

The card base is Just Jade with a layer of Balmy Blue.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the other cards in this challenge.

Pansy Patch for a few Challenges

When I saw the color combo for the #ci107 challenge I immediately thought of pansies. Later in the week, I saw the sketch put out by Freshly Made Sketches #503. I also included this card in the Watercooler Challenge #WWC324.

Kath's Watercooler Challenge is all about Occasions. There is no better occasion then a friend's birthday.

The layout of simple squares for the Freshly Made Challenge was the perfect backdrop for pansies stamped in the lovely color combo set out by the Colour Inkspiration challenge.

Inks and paper colors for this card are So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow.

Dies used were the Pansy Dies and Stitched Shapes. Pansy Patch Stamp set provided the sentiment, leaves and pansies.

A bit of sparkle was added with the Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots.

Thanks so much for looking at my card today. I hope it brings you joy.

Slimline Sunflower

Hello All! CAS Colours and Sketches #437 Sketch required a slimline card this time around. For my card I went with a bold flower image perfect for the end of summer.

For this card I started with a Bumblebee card base that measures 6 1/4" by 3 1/2". An Old Olive card layer thinly borders a 6" by 3 1/4" Basic White card front.

A blending brush was used to add Old Olive ink to the white cardstock. Cinnamon Cider was used to stamp the large sunflower and the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set.

Blends used to color the flower were Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody.

The Sunflower Dies were used to cut out the images. The sentiment was fussy cut and adhered with dimensionals.

Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots added a little sparkle.

I hope you like this card. Be sure to check out all of the other entries in this challenge.

Beautifully Penned Lines and Flowers

I started with the Beautifully Penned DSP to create this card for the Just Add Ink #571 Just Add Lines Challenge

I know I wanted to use this paper for the stripes. But, what next? After flipping the paper over I decided to use the floral side as the focal point.

I chose Old Olive cardstock for the card base and added a narrow border of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

Next I jazzed up a white stitched circle to build my image. I colored the DSP floral image with Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight Blends. They were fussy cut.

I used the Forever Flourishing dies to cut out leaves from Silver foil. And I used the Sweet Strawberry Bundle to make the small flowers. They were colored with Light Flirty Flamingo.

Pearl Basic Jewels colored with Daffodil Delight filled the flower centers. The sentiment from Timeless Tulip was stamped in Basic Black.

Colors Sketch Case

Some lovely colors and a delightful sketch brought together with a CASE of the Sale a-bration catalog. I combined two challenges for this card, Freshly Made Sketches 502 and CAS Colours and Sketches #436

The colors for this challenge are Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I started with an Evening Evergreen card base that I embossed using one of the Meadow Moments folders.

I used a Stitched Rectangle die to cut a piece of white for the card front. All of the stamping was done with the Delicate Dahlias Stamp set. The small flowers were stamped in Polished Pink. The small leaves and sentiment were stamped using Evening Evergreen.

Other die sets used include, Peony, Forever Flourishing and Tailor Made Tags. To embellish the card I added a strip of the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper and a bow made from Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a great week!

Fusion of a Sketch and a Photo

Today's card combines a variety of products to create a simple card. This card is for the Fusion Card Challenge. This challenge offers a sketch and a photo as inspiration. You may choose either element or you may fuse the two elements together.

For this card I started with a Thick Basic White card base. I used the Checks from the Checks and Dots Embossing Folders to create a subtle background.

A panel of Misty Moonlight created a border for a piece of Penguin Playmates DSP. Misty Moonlight silver Baker's Twine was tied around the panel to add some sparkle.

The sentiment from One Happy Family was stamped with black ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock.

The adorable bear from the Count on Me Stamp set was stamped onto Basic White cardstock using black ink. Polished Pink, Cinnamon Cider and Ivory blends were used to color the bear.

I hope you like my card.

Cute Halloween for a Sketch Challenge

Hello All and Happy Saturday
I love everything about the Cute Halloween Sweet. The colors, the patterns, the images and the ribbons are all perfect for a fun Halloween. I used the ghost patterned DSP in my card for the Global Design Project #308 Case the Designer.

One of the best things about this suite is the fun images on the Cute Halloween DSP. Some of the images coordinate with the Halloween Punch. The images are also easy to fussy-cut.

I used three of the paper patterns for this card. Two for layers and one for the adorable ghosts. The layers were adhered to a Highland Heather card base.

The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Cutest Halloween. It as stamped with black ink onto a one inch strip of Highland Heather cardstock. The card is finished off with the Cute Stars Adhesive Backed Sequins.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you like my card. Don't forget to check out all of the cards at Global Design Project.

Throwback Thursday

Hi All! I am so glad I came across the Retro Rubber Challenge blog. I have quite a few older stamps that I just refuse to part with. (Yes, some have never been used.) For the current Retro Rubber Challenge #166, I pulled out some beautiful flowers from the Bloom with Hope stamp set. I think this set dates back to 2014.

The theme of this challenge is Dog Days of Summer. For me that is the time when we are picking the end of summer's produce. This week we will be making "V8" otherwise known as Bloody Mary Mix.

I chose Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow for my card. The flowers and sentiment all came from the Bloom with Hope stamp set. The background image is from the current Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso.

I found some old calypso Coral embellishments and some recently retired Mossy Meadow braided trim to complete my card. The sentiment was die cut from the current Tailor Made Tags dies.

I hope you enjoy this blast from the past. This set still holds up and is not much different from some current products.

Happy Stamping!

More Gorgeous Leaves

The TGIF Challenge 332 included some colors this week that first had me thinking Christmas. Cinnamon Cider, Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow also make gorgeous autumn leaves.

This card started with a standard card bae cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. For the bottom layer I stamped the small leaf cluster from the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp set using Mossy Meadow onto Mossy Meadow cardstock.

I stamped the same leaves onto a piece of Very Vanilla. The splatter stamp was stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink.

The sentiment from Lovely You was stamped with Mossy Meadow.

The leaves were cut using the Intricate Leaves dies from the above colors and from gold foil. The Cherry Cobbler and Gold Ribbon completed the card.

I hope you like my card. Have a great day!

From the Scrap Pile

Happy Wednesday All! Today's card was created for a challenge to use scraps by the Inspired By Scraps IB185. I took full advantage of this task and went straight to my "scrap pile".

This is a box where I stash my extra bits and pieces. It is a catch all for those pieces that didn't make it onto a card, bows, die cuts, DSP scraps...

Here are the goodies I pulled from the box to create todays card. I got some really old pearls, retired DSP and some practice flowers from the Delicate Dahlias Stamp set. I also found a tag with a sentiment from Color and Contour Stamp set.

To bring this card together I started with a Thick Basic White card base. Then I adhered the DSP strips and added a vellum card front. I stamped some Soft Succulent leaves using the Delicate Dahlia stamps. These were fussy cut and glued behind the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by. Go and check out all the other cards in this challenge.

Happy Stamping!

Inspire,Create,Challenges 098 Holiday Card

This holiday card is for the Inspire Create Challenges 098 Sketch Challenge. I picked the Sweet Stockings DSP for this challenge. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the animals on the paper. That being said, the non-animal patterns are perfect for the holidays.

I love the "stitching" on this DSP. I thought it would be a perfect background for these stockings. Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive cardstock, two colors in the DSP, were used for the card
base and layering.

The scallops around the sentiment were cut out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock using the Scalloped Contour Dies.

The sentiment is from the Snowman Season Stamp set and stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink.

The stockings were fussy cut from the Sweet Stockings DSP. Two Bumblebee Matte Decorative Dots add a little embellishment to the card.

This card makes me want to sip a cup of cocoa in front of a warm fire. I hope it gives you like it!

Be sure to visit the challenge site and see all the other great projects.

Happy Crafting!

Bright and Cheerful * Textures and Frames

This card is for a special someone's birthday coming up in a few weeks. I like to have cards like this on hand because they are gender neutral and are suitable for both young and old. This card is also for the Just Add Ink #570 Challenge

For this challenge you were required to use Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana and white. Three great colors.

I chose to use the Textures and Frames Stamp set in order to keep my card nonfeminine. I ended up using only the rectangle stamp to keep it simple.

The sentiment was from the Biggest Wish Stamp set. I added Coastal Cabana Artistic Blooms Sequins to add just enough bling.

Simple cards are sometimes the best cards. I hope these bold and bright colors brighten your day! Be sure to check all of the projects of this challenge.

Happy Stamping!

Feminine, Fancy and Ornate

Hello All and Happy Labor Day. Today's card uses a sketch from Stampin' Fancy Friday. When I saw the sketch I thought it would be great for this retired stamp set. The lovely flowers from the Ornate Style Stamp Set are perfect for the WWC323 - Cathy's Challenge: All Things Feminine.

I pulled from the 2021-2023 In-Colors for this card. Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent and Pale Papaya blends and cardstock create softness. I used Evening Evergreen for stamping the image and sentiment.

The sentiment is from the still current Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. The cut out was done using The Ornate Layers Dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I am off to enjoy family, smoked brisket and to raise a glass of Cote des Roses to toast the end of a great summer. 🍷

Pansy Patch for The Paper Players #556 and Sunday Stamps #264

Pansies have always been my favorite flower. This suite of projects is fabulous. The DSP is perfect in design and color. This card is for the PPC#556 A Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. My choices include feminine, birthday and floral. I'm also joining Sunday Stamps Challenge for the first time.

I spent the day stamping and waiting for my wine delivery. I am so ready for some cool weather and heavy reds.

For this card, I started with the Pansy Petals DSP. I cut a 5 1/8" by 1 7/8 " piece. I cut the same size piece of Fresh Freesia In-Color DSP. These were adhered to a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock. I used a scrap of the DSP to cover the seam. This Panel was dry embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Folder.

The pansies were stamped with using the Pansy Patch stamp set and Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Inks. Then cut out with using the coordinating Pansy dies. The leaves were stamped using Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent inks.

The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Evening Evergreen ink. This panel was cut using the Stitched rectangle dies and framed with Evening Evergreen cardstock. Fresh Freesia In-Color Jewels added a bit of sparkle to finish the card.

Mildly Wild for TGIF Challenge

The color combination of the Blackberry Beauty Specialty paper is the basis week's #TGIF331 Inspiration Challenge. I like how the brightness of the Polished Pink pops against the Blackberry Bliss and Cinnamon Cider.

I took a lot of inspiration for this card from Artisan Designer Chelsey Christensen. She used the Sparkle of the Season stamp set.

I spent a whole lot of time pondering just how much CASE-ing is acceptable. This is always something I struggle with when creating public cards.

I started with a Very Vanilla card layer. With a mask made from the Painted Labels dies, Rich Razzleberry ink and a blending brush I created an image to anchor the focal point.

I added leaves and flowers using the Lovely You stamp set. The sentiment is also from the Lovely You set.

This layer was mounted onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. A Polished Pink ribbon was tied around the two layers and then attached to a Cinnamon Cider card base.

The bunny was stamped from the Nature's Beauty stamp set and colored with blends. I fussy cut the rabbit and added it to the card with dimensionals.

Thanks for looking at my card. Check out all the other cards created for this TGIF331 Challenge.
