The Beach

Today I have a card that is the combination of three great challenges. Festive Friday #0141 is a celebration of National Beach Day, which is August 30. They put together an inspiration list of great elements to pull together for a card. The elements I used are pearls, sand, shells and sea. 

Inspired By Neutrals #252 is all about neutral colors. For my beach card, I used Crumb Cake for the card base and for most of the card front- the sand, the grasses and the shells.

As You See It Challenge #306 -At the Beach, asks what do you like to do at the beach. My favorite thing is just to relax and watch and listen to the water and everything that goes on. The beach we hang out on is on Puget Sound.

Hello Everyone,

Today starts a new challenge with Inspire.Create.Challenges. Challenge #150 is a Case the Designer Challenge. Let this card inspire you in anyway. It might be the colors, the sketch, or something else. Whatever it is, use it to make a card of your own.

Our new challenges launch every other Sunday at 10:00 a.m. GMT and continue for ten days. This challenge ends at 12:00 midnight GMT September 7, 2023. The Inspire.Create Team have created some great projects to inspire you. So click on the link below to head on over to the challenge blog and check them out.

For my card, I let the technique of the inspiration card guide me.  I grabbed some inks in the colors provided by Creative Colour Challenges # 103. The colors are  Boho Blue. Tahitian Tide and Pretty Peacock. I pulled in a stamp set that had some interesting foliage, Lighting the Way.

It's hard to believe summer is coming to a close. School's start here in two weeks. I have a card today that celebrates Back to School with Stampin' Up! Only Challenge #333. The Color and some elements for my card were inspired by Tic Tac Toe Challenge #222. I went with the right column of die cuts, blue and enamel dots. The sketch of my card came from CASE-ing Tuesday #422.

Freezin' Fun

Today's card was inspired by Just Add Ink's Inspiration Challenge #666. I took the elements of their scene and made it a bit more playful using one of my favorite snowy stamp sets. My card was also inspired by a special little girl who loves penquins and pink. I did a fun technique for the background by blending ink onto white cardstock then flicking water drops over the ink.

Darling Details with Blended Color

For today's card, I blended color onto white cardstock before stamping the outline images. This gave the images a different shade than using the fill stamps. My card was inspired by the colors from Creative Colour Challenge #102. The colors are Gorgeous Grape, Pretty Peacock and Lemon Lolly. The sketch for my card came from Freshly Made Sketches #599.
