Beary Christmas Ornament

Today I have a project inspired by Just Add Ink #683, They have a Just Pick Two Challenge of Trees- Presents-Ornaments. I used Trees and Presents and made an Ornament. I saw someone do this a couple years ago and have been meaning to do it- today I finally did. 

I started by wrapping ribbon around a disc from an empty ribbon spool. 

Use second largest circle from Stylish Shapes dies and cut from DSP

Stamp the tree from Beary Christmas stamp set with Granny Apple Green ink. Stamp the presents with Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo and Real Red  Fussy-cut

Stamp the bear with black ink and the cut with punch

Adhere all to the ribbon circle

My card today was created for CAS on Friday #272. They have a fun challenge of black, white and one color. My one color is Granny Apple Green. I made a tone on tone tree using the Merriest Trees Bundle.

Inspire.Create #158

Hello Everyone,

Today starts a new challenge with Inspire.Create. Challenges. Challenge #158 is a CASE the Designer Challenge. There is an awesome card created by Karen for everyone to CASE. As you will see, I took inspiration from her sketch.

Our new challenges launch every other Sunday at 10:00 a.m. GMT and continue for ten days. This challenge ends at 12:00 midnight GMT December 27, 2023. The colors for my card were provided by Creative Colour Challenges #119. The colors are Granny Apple Green, Real Red and Pecan Pie.

Start with a Real Red card base. 

Cut a 5 1/4" by 4" layer of Granny Apple Green

Cut two each of 1" by 4" and 1" by 2 3/4" pieces of Peaceful Prints DSP (ret)

Cut a 2 7/8" by 1 5/8" piece of white card stock, emboss using Snowflake Sky folder

Stamp the tree from Beary Cute stamp set with Granny Apple Green, fussy-cut

Punch the bear from A Walk in the Forest DSP

Stamp the sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas (ret) with Real Red ink, cut with Something Fancy dies

Add Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins to some of the snowflakes

PP #670 and Merry & Bright

 Hello Everyone, 

This week over at The Paper Players Claire has a great color challenge for us. There are three great colors to play with, along with black and white. I pulled out some favorite holiday products for my card, the Merry Bold and Bright Suite and a fun piece of paper from the past. I saw a great sketch from Jacque Williams earlier this week and thought it would work great for this challenge.

Merry and Bright Decor

I created this decor piece for Global Design Project #423. Their theme was Letters. I used the Alphabet A La Mode die set from Stampin' Up. The letters were cut from some pink glimmer paper. 

This started as a wooden piece purchased from Michaels. I used the Merry Bold and Bright DSP to cover the bulb and painted the cap gray. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to highlight the grooves. The bulbs were cut from glimmer paper and silver foil using the Merry and Bright dies.

Today's card was created for Sunday Stamps Challenge #323. They had a great color challenge of reds, greens and neutrals. I took inspiration from the quilt and used some leftover strips of DSP. The garland in the background led me to the pine boughs.

Today's card was created for TGIF Challenge #449. They have a color challenge this week of White, Real Red and Granny Apple Green. Those colors of course screamed Christmas. I was inspired by Day 2 of Erica Cerwin's 12 Days of Christmas. I loved her bold sentiment and bright colors.

Bold and Bright Merriest Tree

I have a fun card today, created for Just Add Ink #681. They have a festive and colorful photo to provide inspiration. I incorporated their white tree and brought in the bright fun colors of the Merry Bold and Bright DSP. My tree was stamped multiple times, cut with dies and layered using dimensionals on the bottom of each tier.
