Inspire.Create.Challenges #223

 Welcome back! We, at Inspire.Create.Challenges, have a fun technique challenge starting today. We want you to create a card using scraps. My design lets you make two card layers using simple 1/2 inch strips. I used the Bloom Boutique Suite for my cards.

To create the layers for this card duo. I adhered 1/2" by 6 1/2" strips of patterned paper to a 8" by 5 1/4" piece of card stock. Then cut the card stock in half to get two layers measuring 4" by 5 1/4".

CAS Colours and Sketches #592 Colour Challenge

 Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to my blog,

We are back with another round of CAS Colours and Sketches Challenges. Amanda is hosting this color challenge. She has a great color combo to work with. I can't wait to see what your creative brains come up with. I used a favorite foliage bundle to create my card.

For our colour challenges, you must use all 3 challenge colours. You may also use white, black, Kraft, metallic, and subtle shades of brown or grey but only in support of the challenge colours, they should not be one of the featured colours on your card. We use Stampin' Up colour names for reference, but you are welcome to use any other companies' products as long as you match the challenge colours as closely as possible. 

Please remember to keep your card CAS!

As a reminder, 'clean and simple' (CAS) is defined as "uncluttered, with a lot of white or open space, and minimal layers and embellishments". Subtle texture or shading is okay as long as it does not distract from the main focal point of your card.

Dazzling Butterflies

 Hello Everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I created for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #298. Felicita has a great board for us to work with this round. I went with the top row of Sparkle, Ribbon or Twine and Butterflies for my card. I pulled out a favorite bundle and some fun patterned paper for my card. The sparkle is there, we had very overcast skies today and the sparkle didn't show.

Christmas Mice

Hello Everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I created for three challenges. Hand Stamped Sentiments #494 has a great sketch for us. The fun colors for my card are from Colour INKspiration #214. And for Just Add Ink Challenge #791 the theme of my card is Christmas.

I had a special person crafting with me today. I was unboxing the Christmas Mice Suite with my grandaughter, who is 7, she immediately wanted to create a card. She makes cards often. She asked if I would share her card with all of you when she was finished. She had some help with the die cuts and embossing the background.
