Ale Yes! New Colors

I have a new card today that uses four of the new in-colors. This card is inspired by Tic Tac Toe Challenge #208. I used the top row of elements. They are masculine, die-cut and beer. The design for my card came from a card in the annual catalog.

Stamp the sentiment from The Brewed for You stamp set with Boho Blue ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Cut out with the All That dies. Also cut the Boho Blue tabs, Pebbled Path argyle shapes and a Copper Clay Tag. Emboss the tag with the Timber folder. Cut the Rectangle out of Very Vanilla cardstock. Add Copper Clay ink to an acrylic block with a dauber, Add drops of thinned Pebbled Path ink to the block. Spritz the block with water and "stamp" the rectangle. Allow to dry.

Stamp the glass with Peppled Path and Wild Wheat inks. Cut with the Brewed Dies. Cut a hop out of Wild Wheat cardstock. Adhere all the elements with glue and dimensionals.

Zoo Crew Spinner Card

Today's card was inspired by Festive Friday Challenge #0134. The festivity they are celebrating this time is National Smile Day on May 31. The elements I included were yellow, happy sentiment, enamel dots and circle.

Cut a 3 15/16" by 5 3/16" piece of Flowers and More DSP (ret). Layer this onto a 4 1/16" by 5 5/16" piece of Polished Pink card stock. Using the 2 1/2" Layering Circles die (ret) cut a circle through these two layers.

Align the card front to the card base, do not adhere it. Cut the same size circle in the card base.

Stamp the Cheetah from the Zoo Crew Bundle and also make a mirror image of the cheetah. Use the dies and cut them out. Color the cheetah with Wild Wheat, Polished Pink (ret), Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie and Ivory blends.

Run a piece of white twine between the two cheetahs and glue them together back to back. Securely attach the twine to the card base with tape with the cheetah centered in the circle. Glue the card front to the card base with the string sandwiched in between.

Cut a Crushed Curry frame with the Layering circle dies and attach it to the card front. Stamp the sentiment from the Catching Butterflies stamp set (ret) with black ink. Cut it out with the banner from the Stylish Shapes dies. Cut a scalloped piece of Crushed Curry with the Zoo Crew dies and attach it to the sentiment. Attach the sentiment to the card with dimensionals.

Add yellow Glitter Enamel Dots (ret) to the card for some sparkle.

Layer a 4" by 5 1/4" piece of DSP to the inside of the card.

New Colors Old Stamps

Today's card was made with a stamp set from a few years ago. It was a Sale A Bration set in 2019. Retro Rubber Challenge #206 has a tic tac toe board this time. The elements I picked were the middle row of dies or punch, flowers and embossing. After I decided on this stamp set, I thought it would go great with the new in-colors. That would work great for the Colour INKspiration Challenges #143. The sketch for my card was inspired Just Add Ink #652.

Stamp the Painted Seasons (ret) images on a 5 3/16" by 3 15/16" Very Vanilla cardstock using the new in-colors. Layer this onto a 5 5/16" by 4 1/8" piece of Pebbled Path cardstock.

Emboss a 1 1/2" by 3 15/16" piece of Wild Wheat with the Timber 3D embossing folder. Attach this to the card front.

Wrap linen thread around the card front and tie in a bow. Attach the card front to a Moody Mauve card base.

Stamp the flower stamp with Moody Mauve onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Stamp the small sprigs with Boho Blue. Cut them all out with the coordinating, Four Seasons dies (ret). Attach the images to the card front with dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set with Pebble Path ink onto a 3 1/4" by 1/2" strip of Very Vanilla cardstock. Add to the card with dimensionals.

The elements I used for their challenge are die-cutting, black and white and gingham. For the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #207 I picked the right column of die-cut, free and birthday.

I started with a Bubble Bath card base that was trimmed to 3 1/4" on the front. A 3" by 5 1/4" piece of Pattern Party DSP (ret) was layered onto a 3 1/8" by 5 3/8" piece of Melon Mambo cardstock. This was attached to the card front.

Using the Hello Cupcake stamp set (ret) the cupcake was stamped with crumb cake ink. The frosting was stamped with Bubble Bath ink. They were cut out using the Call Me Cupcake dies (ret). The cupcake was assembled and attached to a vellum circle cut from the Stylish Shapes dies. The circle was attached to the card front. The "sprinkles" are from the Shaker Shapes (ret).

The sentiment was stamped with black ink and cut with the Something Fancy dies. this was attached to the card front with dimensionals. A Black and White Gingham Ribbon bow was attached to finish the card.

The inside of the card was layered with a 4" by 5 1/4" piece of whit cardstock. A 1" by 5 1/4" strip of the cardstock was adhered to the right side edge.

I started with a 4 " by 5 1/4" piece of Fresh Freesia Heart and Home DSP (ret). This was layered onto a 4 1/8" by 5 3/8" piece of Garden Green cardstock.

A 4" by 1 1/4" piece of Petal Pink Design a Daydream DSP (ret). This was adhered to the card front. I attached a 5" piece of the Petal Pink Ribbon from the  Duo Combo Pack around the card front and then attached the card to a Petal Pink card base.

The image from the Beautifully Happy stamp set (ret) was stamped on white cardstock with Basic Gray, Fresh Freesia and Garden Green ink. I used the Scalloped Contour dies to cut the image out. This was added to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onta a 1/2" strip of white with basic Gray ink. One end was flagged and then attached to the card with dimensionals.

Birthday Balloons

Hello All,

Today I've been enjoying what is to be the start of a beautiful week here in the PNW. The forecast shows sunshine and high temperatures for the week.

I have a fun birthday card that was inspired by a fun sketch challenge and a fill in the blank challenge. As You See it Challenge #298: New Stuff wants to know, "The most recent addition to my craft stash is..." the Bright and Beautiful Suite and all the new colors that coordinate with the DSP. I ordered this on free shipping day and it finally arrived yesterday. The fun sketch for my card comes from Freshly Made Sketches #584. I love that I could showcase the DSP and the new bright colors.

I cut a 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" piece of the Bright and Beautiful DSP and adhered it to a thick white card base.

Using the Beautiful Balloons bundle, I stamped the streamers with Misty Moonlight, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist inks directly onto a 4 7/8" by 1 7/8" piece of the DSP. I used the same colors to stamp the balloons and cut them out with the dies.

The stamped DSP was layered onto a 5" by 2" piece of Berry Burst cardstock and attached to the card front. The balloons were attached to this panel with glue and dimensionals. Gold Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins were added for some sparkle.

The Happy Birthday from the Biggest Wish stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink onto a 4 1/2" by 1 3/8" piece of white cardstock. this was layered onto a 4 5/8" by 1 1/2" piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock then attached to the card front.

The design team has created some creative projects to inspire you. Stop by our challenge page to see what we made. Drop us a comment while you are there.

For my card I started with a 4" by 5 1/4" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock embossed with the Raindrops Embossing folder. This was adhered to a Thick White card base.

A 1 3/4" by 5 1/4" piece of Zoo Crew DSP was layered onto a 1 15/16" by 5 1/4" piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardcardstock. This was attached to the left side of the card front.

The fox, puddle and sentiment from the Playing in the Rain stamp set was stamped with black ink. The fox was colored with  Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue and Pumpkin Pie blends.
