Textured Floral

Today's card was inspired by a color challenge. I thought these colors would be perfect for flowers. That gave me a chance to practice with the Texture Floral stamp set, I find this set a bit challenging.  Just Add Ink Challenge #674 provided the colors Fresh Freesia, Berry Burst, Pretty Peacock and gold.

Start with a Berry Burst card base.

Layer on a 4 1/16" by 5 5/16" piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock.

Cut a 3 15/16" by 5 3/16" piece of white cardstock. Using the Textured Floral stamp set, stamp the large flowers with Fresh Freesia ink. Stamp the largest leaf stamp with Pretty Peacock.

Stamp the stem with Versa Mark and emboss with gold powder. Stamp the flowers onto the stem with Berry Burst ink.

Stamp the smallest flowers with Berry Burst ink. For the middle size flower, ink the stamp with Fresh Freesia and daub some Berry Burst ink to the center before putting the stamp to paper.

Using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp all flower centers and add a few leaves using the small leaf stamp.

Using the splatter stamp in both Berry Burst and Fresh Freesia ti fill in any empty spaces.

Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark and emboss in gold. Cut out using the Something Fancy tag.  Arrange some gold Simply Elegant Trim behind the tag then attach to the card with dimensionals.

Add Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds (available soon).

Flashback Friday

Today's card was made for Creative Colour Challenges #110 . The colors for this week's challenge were Bubble Bath, Gorgeous Grape and Smoky Slate. I combined these colors with the Retro Rubber Challenge #217 Anything Goes. I was excited about using the fun Bubble Bath papers from Delightfully Eclectic DSP pack. So I grabbed an old stamp set from my shelf. The Big News Stamp Set goes back to 2016. I also used some old embellishments, these were called Candy Dots.

Start with a 4 1/4" by 9" piece of Smoky Slate cardstock. Score at 5 1/2" to make the card base.

From Gorgeous Grape cardstock cut two panels. One measures 3 1/4" by 4", the other 1 3/4" by 4".

Cut two pieces of the Delightfully Eclectic DSP. 3" by 3 3/4" and 1 1/2" by 3 3/4". Layer these onto the Grape layers. Attach the smaller panel to the right side of the card base.

Wrap Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the larger panel and tie into a bow. Adhere this panel to the left flap of the card.

Stamp the sentiment from Big News (ret) with Gorgeous Grape ink onto white cardstock. Cut out with largest square form Stylish Shapes dies. Adhere to the card front with dimensionals. Be sure to only put dimensionals on the opening flap of the card.

On a scrap of Smoky Slate heat emboss the flag with white powder. Fussy cut out and attach to card with dimensionals.

Adhere Smoky Slate Candy Dots (ret) to finish the card.
