Pumpkin and Plaid

Today's card was inspired by Just Add Ink Challenge #676. The have an Inspiration challenge that includes a pumpkin and lots of texture. I tried to mimic the texture with some new things and some stuff from my stash.

Start with a 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" piece of All About Autumn DSP Adhere this to a Thick White card base

Layer a 3" by 2 3/4" piece of Rustic Harvest DSP (ret) onto a 3 1/8" by 2 7/8" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock Adhere to the card front

Using the Curvy dies (ret) cut a 1/2" strip of Crumb Cake cardstock. Adhere to the card

Blend Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze ink onto a scrap of white cardstock. Stamp the pumpkin from Hello Harvest stamp set (ret) Cut with coordinating dies. Color the stem with Old Olive. Stamp the leaf with Old Olive ink daubed with Cajun Craze. Cut with dies. Attach to the card with dimensionals. Cut a vine from Old Olive and attach to the pumpkin.

Stamp the sentiment from Truly Grateful (ret) with black ink onto white cardstock. Cut with Something Fancy dies.

Add Adhesive-Backed Speckled Gems to finish the cards.

Be sure to check out the other entries in this fun challenge.

  1. I really like how you incorporated the elements from the picture in to your card....especially that swirly diecut! No, especially the black plaid. No, especially the pumpkin. Darn, I love it all!

  2. I love how you’ve created such texture and interest from the inspiration image all concentrated in a great card design. Thanks for playing along with the Just Add Ink challenge this week.
