Today's card was inspired by a weekly color challenge and a versatile sketch. Creative Colour Challenges #78 gave Flirty Flamingo, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry to work with. I used the sketch from #stampinfancyfriday
The Flirty Flamingo piece of the Specialty DSP was my jumping off point for this card. I cut a 3 1/2" by 4 1/2" piece. For the behind layers I cut a are of Soft Suede cardstock and embossed it using the Timeworn Type folder. I cut a 4 1/16" by 5 5/16" piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. These were layered onto a Rich Razzleberry card base. For the floral elements I used watercolor paper and Flirty Flamingo and Rich Razzleberry inks. Using the largest water painter, I made a patchtch of color large enough to cut out the flower and the foilage.
After the watercoloring was dry, I used the Meadow dies to cut out the foilage from the Rich Razzleberry section. On the Flirty Flamingo section I used Staz-on ink to stamp the flower from the Quiet Meadow stamp set. I fussy-cut the flower.
I cut a label from white cardstock using the Something Fancy Dies. I stamped the splotch stamp from Quiet Meadow and Soft Suede ink. I cut the foilage apart and attached it to the label. I added the flower with dimensionals. The label was glued to the card front.
The sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped with Soft Suede ink. I flaggerd the end and attached it with dimansionals. I added Elegant Faceted Gems to the label.
