Global Design Project #280

Welcome to my blog, I am just getting started. Hope to see you here often!

Today I created this project for Global Design Project #280.

For this project I showcased the Hydrangea Haven Bundle.

To create this card create a card base using a half sheet of Rococo Rose cardstock,  measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".

For the next layer cut a 5 1/8" x 3 3/8" piece of Merry Merlot card stock. Adhere to card base with your favorite adhesive.

Next use a piece of Rococo Rose paper from The Oh So Ombre DSP. With the lightest portion of the paper at the top cut paper at 3 3/4". Then cut 1/2" from the top and bottom to measure 5". Emboss this piece of DSP using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to Merry Merlot layer.

Cut a 1" by 3 1/2 " strip of Merry Merlot, flag the end with Banners Pick a Punch. Adhere to card front just below the card center.

Cut a 3/4" x 3 3/4 " strip from the Rococo Rose piece of the patterned Oh So Ombre DSP. Flag the end. Adhere to card front overlapping the Merry Merlot strip.

And now we stamp...

Cut a 3/4" x 3 1/2" strip of Basic White cardstock. Flag the end. Stamp sentiment from A Touch of Ink stamp set using Merry Merlot ink. Set aside.

On a scrap of Basic White card stock stamp the flower section of the large flower from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set. Using the large blotch stamp and Rococo Rose ink, stamp off once to fill the flower with color. Cut out with coordinating die.

Using the same flower stamp using Old Olive ink stamp the stem and leaves. Using the leaf fill stamp, stamp off once to complete the leaf. Cut out with coordinating die.

Attach the flower to the stem. Attach to card using dimensionals. Adhere the sentiment to the card using dimensionals. Embellish with pearlized Elegant Faceted Gems and white Crinkled Seam Binding. Ribbon.
