Welcoming Woods for Just Add "N" Challenge

This week's Just Add Ink Challenge #569 was "N". I thought navy, Nothings Better Than, niece's birthday... I was anxious to play with the Welcoming Woods stamp set so I decided on nature.

For this card I started with putting the trees onto Crumb Cake card stock with white embossing powder. I then stamped the leaves using Mango Melody Ink and touched with Wink of Stella.

I added a slight border of Mango Melody to tie the colors together. There is also a Mango Melody leaf shadowing the Be Dazzling die cut leaf.

The Peaceful Prints DSP was cut with The Rectangular Dies for a layer of interest.

The sentiment is also from the Welcoming Woods stamp set. I embossed it with white powder and flagged the end. I attached it with dimensionals.

What I like most about this card is the brightness of the Mango Melody against the neutral colors.

Stop back at my blog later to see what becomes of these two stamped images.

Happy Stamping!

Blackberry Beauty Specialty Paper for Freshly Made Sketches 500

Wow, what a milestone, this is Freshly Made Sketches 500th Challenge! For this challenge, I let the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty Specialty paper do the heavy lifting.

I started with an Early Espresso card base. A gold Brushed Metallic cardstock layer borders a layer of the specialty paper. I  distressed a 2" strip of the Queen Anne's Lace piece of Blackberry Beauty paper for the focal point.

The sentiment is from the retired Country Home stamp set. It is gold embossed onto Early Espresso cardstock.

Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and a gold twine add some sparkle to finish off the card.

Take 2: Blackberry Beauty Specialty Paper and Intricate Leaves Dies

For the current Global Design Project Challenge #306, For this sketch challenge, I again used some of the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty Specialty paper. The colors in this paper are perfect for fall leaves.

I am loving this paper and this die set. Some day soon I will actually use the coordinating Gorgeous Leaves stamp set.

For this card I started with a Rich Razzleberry card base. Layered onto the base was a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock bordering the specialty paper.

One of the Scalloped Contour dies was used to cut a rectangle from the Cork Specialty paper.

Be Dazzling Specialty paper and coordinating cardstock was used to cut out leaves.

The sentiment taken from the Lovely You stamp set was stamped using Early Espresso ink onto a Cinnamon Cider scrap.

Linen thread was wrapped around the card layers and tied in a bow to bring it all together.

I'm glad you stopped by today! Be sure to check out Global Design Project #306 and see all of the fabulous cards for this sketch.

Blackberry Beauty Specialty Paper and Intricate Leaves Dies

Blackberry Beauty Specialty Paper and Intricate Leaves Dies for #TGIF330 and The Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP550

I took advantage of some beautiful paper to complete a card for two fun challenges. The Blackberry Beauty paper is perfect for these bold fall leaves.

Blackberry Bliss card stock was used to make a thin border around the DSP and adhered to a Rich Razzleberry card base.

A frame of Cinnamon Cider was made with the stitched rectangular dies. The Intricate Leaves dies were used to cut out the leaves from Gold Foil, Early Espresso and the above mentioned cardstock.

A sentiment from Welcoming Woods was stamped with Blackberry Bliss onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Tasteful Labels dies cut the sentiment and background layer. Gold Shimmer Ribbon added a bit of sparkle.

Just Add Ink #588

Hello! For the Just Add Ink #588 Sketch Challenge I used the new Painted Christmas DSP with the deer from the Nature's Beauty stamp set to make a winter birthday card.

This card started with Crumb Cake card base. The DSP was layered onto a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock and embossed with the Tasteful Texture folder. I used Old Olive/Pretty Peacock reversible ribbon to cover the seam on the DSP.

The deer was stamped onto Basic White cardstock with Early Espresso ink. It was colored with Crumb Cake and Ivory blends. The die used came from Painted Labels dies.

The sentiment is from Welcoming Woods and was stamped with Early Espresso.

Freshly Made Sketches 497: Peppermint Kisses

New Catalog! New Stamps! New Paper! New Sparkly Things! It feels like Christmas! So here is a Christmas card I created with all things shiny and new. I made this card for Freshly Made Sketches #797.

The Gingerbread and Peppermint suite is my favorite  set of products in the new catalog. As usual the paper, stamps, dies and embellishments coordinate beautifully. With the colors, old olive and real red, this card just screams Christmas.
