Merry and Bright Square Card

My card today was inspired by the fun sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches #611. I used the colors from Day 9 of Martin's Mayhem 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge. The colors are Blueberry Bushel, Melon Mambo and Old Olive.

Start with a Melon Mambo 5" square card base.

Cut a 4 1/8" Basic White square, cut with the Dots and Spots die. On the backside, cover some of the dots with small pieces of Old Olive and Blueberry Bushel cardstock. Glue to the card front.

Using the Merry and Bright dies, cut the string of lights from white cardstock. Color with Black, Blueberry Bushel, Melon Mambo and Old Olive blends. Adhere to the card.

Cut a 2 7/8" by 4 1/8" piece of white cardstock. Layer into a 3" by 4 1/4" piece of Old Olive cardstock.

Color Vellum scraps with the three challenge colors with blends. Cut with the dies. Add adhesive sheet to Black cardstock, cut the wire, caps and filaments from Black cardstock. Attach to the front panel. Adhere to the card base.

Stamp the sentiment from Merry and Bright with Melon Mambo and Blueberry Bushel inks. Fussy cut. Attach to the card with dimensionals.

Be sure to check out the other entries in these fun challenges.
