PP #667 and Ringed with Nature

 Hello All! Today is the start of a new week and that means it it time for a new challenge from The Paper Players. I pulled out a favorite stamp set that I seem to be using a lot lately. The colors of my card today came from CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge #525. The colors are Boho Blue, Real Red and Mossy Meadow. 

Start with a 4" by 5 1/4" piece of white cardstock embossed with the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Layer onto a Thick White card base.

Cut the tag from white cardstock using the Merriest Trees dies. Using the Ringed with Nature stamp set stamp the berries with Boho Blue and the leaves with Mossy Meadow. 

Stamp the Poinsettia with Real Red ink. Fussy cut and add to the tag with dimensionals. Attach the tag to the card with dimensionals. 

Stamp the sentiment from Merriest Trees with Real Red ink onto a 1/2" strip of white card stock. Adhere to the card.

Attach Boho Blue In Color Jute Trim to the label.

Here I am again second guessing the CAS-ness of my card. Yes, there is a lot of white space but, because it is embossed does that negate the CAS? Please feel free to weigh in and share your thought in the comments.

    Firstly - I love that little tag and it looks great in those colours! You are definitely inspiring me to get this stamp set down off the shelf and use it more Suzy! As for CAS-ness, I think your card is perfectly CAS and definitely meets our PP guidelines. Some challenges are more strict about white space not being embossed (CC&S prefers clean white space) ... so I guess it's not an exact science lol! Either way, both cards are great - and I prefer the embossed one!!

    I just love this embossed background! The beautiful foliage and the poinsettia are perfect! Just perfect to make someone smile!

    DEFINITELY the embossed background....still lots of white but so much more interest! Makes that beautiful tag really stand out! LOVE it!
