Rusty Flowers

Today's card was inspired by a double challenge provided by CAS Colour and Sketches #524. They provided both the sketch and the colors. The colors were, Really Rust, Gumball Green and Hello Honey. I was surprised to find I had cardstock in two of these colors. I had to sub Crushed Curry for the Hello Honey.

Start with a Really Rust card base.

Cut a 5 5/16" by 4 1/16" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Stamp the Charming Sentiments sentiment with Crushed Curry ink.

Cut a 4 1/16" by 1 3/8" piece of Abstract Beauty DSP (ret). Cut this rectangle from opposite corners like an "X". You will end up with triangles. Use the top and bottom ones and attach to the card front.

Cut the flowers and leaves from Really Rust and Gumball Green card. Add these to the card. Color six pearls with Crushed Curry dark blend. Add three to each flower center.

Be sure to check out the other entries in this great challenge.

  1. Suzy this is just lovely - those sunny triangles highlight your rust coloured flowers beautifully. Thanks for playing with us over at CAS Colours and Sketches this week!
